Color Trend: Burgundy

The first time I mailed Tanvi about Burgundy being a trend for fall, she said, "You mean oxblood?" Burgundy is oxblood now, and oxblood is a dark wine color, and wine is dark reddish which is a plum color bordering on maroon which again is very slightly bordering on purple something like a beetroot which brings us back to burgundy which is oxblood and so on.
Call it what you want, the burgundy or oxblood as the cool people are calling it now, has been big on the international runways and street style and style blogs for several months. It's a moody, dark, somewhat romantic color and resonates well with winter. Here's how you can incorporate some into your life, if you haven't already [;)].

  2. Oxblood and Burgundy are two similar colours, but not the same. Oxblood has a brown hue to it, whereas Burgundy contains blue undertones and maroon has a pinkish, sort of purple tone to it. The Colour oxblood sometimes varies when integrated in designs. You can tell a burgundy and maroon with a warmer tone is the oxblood colour.
